About us
In the heart of Transylvania, in the heart of Turda, here we are. And, although our location is ultra-central, the area is very quiet, so you will enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay.
Rooms
Our guest house offers eight rooms and one apartment, with an ergonomic and functional design, equipped so that you can enjoy the desired comfort throughout your stay.
Facilities
The time you spend with us is precious, so we prepared multiple possibilities for relaxation and recreation. We have a library and a reading room, as well as a recreation room.
Facilities
The services we offer and the facilities you will meet with us when you visit us will confirm the 4 daisies with which our guest house was classified. The rooms are spacious and useful with everything you need for daily comfort. We have a dining room, where you will have breakfast (included in the price). There is also a spacious room where you can organize conferences, interviews, presentations, courses, dinners or various events, with a capacity of 35 people.
The guest house also has a car park, arranged in the inner courtyard.
Our story
The story of the building where the Salina Gymnasium Potaissa Guest House operates is old. It begins in the 16th century, with the religious turmoil that marked the end of the Middle Ages. Protestantism has separated a number of new denominations from the Catholic Church. The Unitarian Church also appeared in this context.
The Reformation caused many religious wars at the time, covering almost all of Western and Central Europe. The Principality of Transylvania, however, had a much more balanced attitude and approach. Religious tolerance was proclaimed in the Diet reunited in 1568 right in Turda.
